Dearest Rose suggested that I blog about my travels over the next couple of months and considering that apart from said travels I'm not actually doing anything I figured I might do that.
I leave for the States today, flying overnight to Los Angeles which is about 12 hours. I currently have the worst cough known to ever exist so I'm sure I'll be popular on the flight.
The plan for the trip so far is once we arrive in LA, to drive the 2ish hours to Santa Barbara where we're staying by which time we will have travelled in time and it will be about 5pm today. We're staying near the University of California at Santa Barbara, in university accomodation. This means we're staying in the college party suburb, apparently one of the most notorious in the country. On January 10th Bridget arrives in LA (yay) and on the 15th we go to New York for a week. Hopefully do a bit more venturing, would like to go to San Francisco, and DC if we can make it. Also, mum has booked a mystery Christmas holiday to an undisclosed location somewhere in the Americas, which is very exciting and driving me crazy also.
Packing is currently stressing me out, I have this insane need to pack my hand luggage with solutions to every possible plane related situation that may arise, even if the playing cards/plasters/wet wipes/8 novels/other miscellaneous objects are totally unnecessary.
I tend to get really badly congested ears when I fly which basically means my head feels like it is about to explode and I have no other option than to cry until it goes away. I am prepared this time and have packed a vast array of P based drugs so I don't cry like a baby.
Well this has been boring, I promise (I hope) that further posts will be more interesting.
